Active Fire Protection Systems Pte Ltd clinches two awards at ESGBusiness Awards 2024

The fire protection service company was recognised for its efficient approach in revolutionising safety in the construction industry.

Active Fire Protection Systems Pte Ltd bagged two wins at the ESGBusiness Awards 2024, namely 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution) Programme Award - Singapore and Social Welfare Award - Singapore.

The awards programme honoured the company for its Digital Transformation Reimagined initiative, which aims to enhance efficiency, client experience and business agility through the implementation of new technologies. 

High productivity, zero accidents

Effective collaboration at all organisational levels is crucial to attaining high productivity and zero accidents in the construction industry. With this challenge, Active Fire Protection Systems Pte Ltd worked on digitising its processes, from design to final installation.

One of the company’s initiatives is the Safety Mojo, an AI-enhanced EHSQ (Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality) management system. This digital tool is integrated into the company’s daily operations, significantly improving safety and productivity whilst simplifying documentation as well. 

Safety Mojo’s key features include real-time reporting, in which incidents, unsafe acts, and observations are quickly reported. The tool comes with data dashboards that help track these observations and ensure EHSQ KPIs are met. 

It also features frontline workers' empowerment, as it allows workers to identify hazards and risks through observations and pre-task planning. Furthermore, Safety Mojo provides efficient communication, which enhances collaboration amongst all safety stakeholders. 

Additionally, this tool also promotes compliance and accountability as it provides centralised cloud documentation for record-keeping and uses AI for learning and improvement.

With Safety Mojo, frontline workers can report safety issues directly to management, and inspections are communicated and addressed efficiently. This integration has resulted in a boost in productivity and safety awareness.

Seamless collaboration

Active Fire Protection Systems Pte Ltd also introduced and utilised Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), a cloud computing platform for construction projects. This initiative was jump-started to address the challenges in the construction process, which involves numerous stakeholders and complex coordination from design to installation.

The benefits of ACC include intangible results such as seamless collaboration and automated processes. ACC Integrates tools throughout the project lifecycle, allowing real-time communication and issue resolution that is beneficial for remote teams. Furthermore, ACC automates project management tasks like issue tracking and RFIs, consequently reducing administrative workload.

ACC also presents tangible results, including data-driven analytics, which provides tools for risk identification and cost management. The tool also features customised dashboards, which provide accurate cost estimations and real-time progress tracking. 

The phase 1 of Active Fire Protection Systems Pte Ltd’s digital transformation initiative has successfully equipped its workforce with modern tools, making a transition from conventional methods to early-stage 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution) practices. This transformation further led to improved communication, reporting, productivity and workflow across all organisational levels.
