Inspect and Assess with Intelligence thanks to KBTG Labs

The company won the Thailand Technology Excellence Award for AI - Financial Technology in this year’s Asian Technology Excellence Awards.

The awards programme recognises the success and efforts of companies in Asia to enhance customer experience and improve business operations through the help of technology, and KBTG Labs distinguished themselves with the use of sophisticated AI algorithms and image analysis that automates the inspection process for insurance, car auctions, resale, and loans.

Historically, the process of properly inspecting every detail of a vehicle was labour-intensive and time-consuming, as a lot of factors are taken into consideration that would require the expertise of trained professionals. By developing a system of human-AI interaction that both empowers professionals and streamlines the evaluation process, users are greeted with a seamless and user-friendly experience through a mobile application.

With the help of internal AI R&D and engineering expertise within the company, KBTG Labs was able to produce a system that alleviates the burden by surveyors. By simply sending in photographs of the damaged vehicles, the users make it easier for various stakeholders in the automotive industry to provide a better user experience.

By ensuring high levels of accuracy within the evaluations, 24/7 availability, and establishing a standardised inspection process, KBTG Labs has improved data processing in auto insurance, repair, sales, and loan sectors. Dependence on individual professional adjustments has also been lessened, helping service providers and customers efficiently manage risks and expenses.

KBTG Labs’ system is already in place with Muang Thai Insurance Public Company Limited (MTI), who integrated the AI-driven solution into their operations in order to access a wide range of insurance options and coverage plans curated for each customer's needs. 

Customers also benefit from the system as it extends the scope of damage detection and evaluation by providing data such as damage level, part name, make, model, year, and even image auto-capturing capabilities. This provides a broader picture of stakeholders in ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of vehicles.

Through the efforts of the world’s best researchers, data scientists, and software engineers who specialises in AI development, KBTG Labs was able to develop Car AI whilst following explainable and responsible AI and engineering best practices. By incorporating these values in their AI development strategy, the company became flexible in order to adapt to rapidly evolving business trends and technology requirements.
