HKTB eyes new scheme to boost vaccine drive

The Hong Kong Tourism Board will reward those who have taken their vaccine shots.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) said it is now working on a new programme that would reward individuals who participated in the government’s vaccination programme.

“The HKTB is now actively working on a new round of programme to reward the vaccinated and encourage the public to take the shots,” the HKTB said in a statement.

This is in line with the government’s “Early Vaccination for All” campaign that sought to speed up the vaccination rate to achieve herd immunity.

The new programme will offer Free Tours and Staycation Delights for those who have been vaccinated.

This also comes after the HKTB reported it fully-booked its “Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours programme.

“All quotas of the second batch of 55 itineraries in the new round of ‘Spend-to-Redeem Free Tours’ have been fully booked on the first day of registration,” it said, noting all 20,000 of the quotas were redeemed.
